Sovereign Light Cafe (ver 3) by Keane

Hey everybody, i saw a few sets of chords for this song, but i found that you can use
easier chords if you just capo it at the second fret. All chords are relative to the capo.

Note: the Bm chord in the verse is optional. It is played by the piano to lead into the
A chord.

Basic Chord Changes:

Verse - A D Bm A F#m A E

Chorus - D A F#m E (x2)

Bridge and Ending don't really follow a pattern

SOVEREIGN LIGHT CAFE - KEANE
CAPO II

VERSE 1

           A
I'm going back to a time when we owned this town
  A D
Down Powder Mill Lane, in the Battlegrounds
Bm A F#m A E
We were friends and lovers and clue-less clowns

VERSE 2
                      A
I didn't know I was finding out how I'd be torn from you
  A D
When we talked about things we were gonna do
Bm A F#m A E
We were wide-eyed dreamers and wi-ser too

CHORUS
                     D A
We'd go down to the rides on East Parade
        F#m E
By the lights of the Palace Arcade
                        D A F#m E
And watch night coming down on the Sovereign Light Cafe

VERSE 3
                          A
I'm begging you for some sign but you still got nothing to say
 A D
Don't turn your back on me, don't walk away

I'm a better man now than i was that day

Watch the drunks and the lovers appear

To take turns as the stars at the Sovereign Light Cafe
